AS PART OF THE JOURNEY MANAGEMENT PROCEDURE
- It is mandatory that NG & C HIGHRISE LTD shall use only the clients’ approved routes during movement of equipment, materials and personnel by vehicles to site.
- There shall be safe vehicle embarking and disembarking instruction to all drivers (verbal or written).
- All crew vehicles shall take off from NG & C HIGHRISE LTD approved sub-base as may be agreed between client and contractor.
- Late driving is prohibited except on emergency cases.
- All vehicles shall have equipped first aid box with recommended drugs from contractors’ retained clinic.
- All vehicles shall carry valid fire extinguishers.
- All land transport related incident shall be promptly reported, investigated and closed out.
- There shall be at least 2 armed MOPOL escorts that will accompany all our materials to the site.
The journey Management procedure shall include but not limited to the following:
- All drivers shall be briefed by HSE coordinator or in his absence HSE officer before embarking on any journey
- Drivers shall be instructed to follow approved routes and obey the traffic speed limit
- Drivers shall be instructed not to resist instruction if under any robbery attack
- Drivers shall be instructed to obey night driving policy
- Sanction will be imposed on any driver that violates these policy
- Drivers speed within the communities should not be more than 40km/hr
- No movement to site with community issues unresolved.
